HB 2629: What's Happening Next And What You Can Do To Help

HB 2629 will have a public hearing in Salem before the House Education Innovation Subcommittee this coming Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. This is substantially the same bill that was passed by both houses in 2003 (but vetoed by the governor), and was passed again by the House in 2005 (but died in the Senate).

Once again, you have an opportunity to make a difference.

Please contact the Subcommittee on Education Innovation members, ESPECIALLY if you are a constituent of one of them, and ask that the committee hold a hearing and vote on HB 2629. The most important person to convince is Representative Betty Komp, the committee chair.
