Klamath Basin Homeschool Group
We are homeschooling families living in or around the Klamath Basin, straddling the Oregon/California border. We are a regional group that utilizes the internet to communicate and plan activities that we attend. We recognize the need for and benefit of social interaction and learning outside the home, so we meet for playgroups, field trips, classes, clubs, etc. Many of these activities are organized and/or led by parents within the group. Our parents know that homeschooling provides children and parents an opportunity to learn and grow, and that if each parent gives a little in their own way, the whole group will richly benefit. We also have a large enough community to persuade providers to offer homeschool-friendly classes, activities and leagues, including things like dance and karate classes during the day, homeschool soccer and baseball teams, and educational classes designed for whole families.
