Mid-Valley Homeschoolers is an email support group intended to strengthen our local homeschooling community by enhancing communication between homeschoolers who reside in the mid-Willamette Valley. Here we can exchange information about events and activities, classes, workshops, performances, library programs, ideas and resources that would be of interest to local homeschoolers, plus share our fears and concerns.
Teen Homeschool Events Board
This is a board for ALL teen activities/events to be posted for the MidValley (Corvallis, Albany, Salem, Lebanon, Eugene areas). If you have an activity that you would like other home school teens to know about, then this is the place to post it.
The Homeschooling Exchange
The homeschooling exchange was established for the Oregon MidValley area such as Salem, Albany, Silverton, Tuer, Stayton and surrounding areas. Homeschooling exchange is a place where you can post any items you no longer need or want to either give away and ask for something in exchange or sell.
McMinnville Homeschoolers is a place to share anything related to educating children. Do you know of a great activity? Do you want to meet others? The general focus will be on the homeschooling resources in the Yamhill County area - McMinnville, Carlton, Yamhill, Newberg. The idea is to provide a central place to find local resources, activities, classes and businesses that appeal to the home school community in Yamhill County and McMinnville,Oregon. However, please do not limit your post/e-mail. If there is something great on the web, in Salem, Portland, Seattle or anywhere--share it! If you want to get an OMSI class going, post it here. If you want to get a group trip to Crater Lake going, post it here.
McMinnville Independent Home Educators Network (MIHEN)
McMinnville Independent Home Educators Network (Mee-hen) is a resource for homeschoolers in the Willamette Valley, Yamhill County: McMinnville, Newberg, Dayton, Amity, Yamhill, Carlton, Sheridan, Willamina.... You get the idea. We are an inclusive group and welcome anyone, from any locale who would like to participate. In addition to local activities, we schedule activities in the Portland-metro and Salem areas.
Newberg Area Home Educators Network
The goal of this group is to offer a meeting place for homeschoolers in Newberg and the surrounding area including Yamhill County, Sherwood and Scholls. We have organized a local park day and a Mom's night out. We would also like to see outings, classes and other special events developed as interest arises. We encourage the formation of age appropriate special interest groups. This group is all-inclusive. We have members of varying personal and homeschooling philosophies.
Polk County Homeschooling Resources
Networking for parents of homeschoolers in Polk County Oregon. A place of support for parents and to arrange social events for homeschoolers; such as, field trips, picnics, parties, etc.
Stayton Area Homeschoolers
A homeschooling group for families ONLY in the Stayton, Sublimity, Aumsville, Tuer, Mehama, Lyons, Silverton, Scio, Mt. Angel, Mill City, Jefferson, Detroit areas. ANY AGE: toddlers, preschool, kindergartners, elementry school, middle school and high school, and special education. We meet 1-2 times a month to discuss curricula and education methods along with sharing resources. Projects/crafts/activities are provided for the children at this time.
Salem Inclusive Homeschoolers
All Mid-Willamette Valley homeschoolers are welcome here. Regardless of your religion (or lack-thereof), family structure, or homeschooling style – if you are in the area and want to participate, join right in!
Salem Area Support for Homeschoolers (SASH)
SASH is a support group for Salem area homeschoolers, who meet monthly to discuss issues around homeschooling, share resources and information, and plan activities and field trips. SASH welcomes members from all religious, ethnic and racial backgrounds as well as all styles and methods of homeschooling. We also welcome homeschooling newbies and the merely curious “ get your questions answered here!
Salem Homeschool Independent Network of Educators (SHINE)
SHINE is an organization for support, educational fieldtrips and socialization of homeschooling families in Salem and surrounding areas. SHINE holds park days, meetings and annual get-togethers such as camping trips and picnics. Families are invited to plan social activities and/or field trips of their choice. We are open to ALL homeschool families regardless of reason for homeschooling, and religious or political affiliations. Emphasis is on group activities with respect, compassion and tolerance toward others. SHINE welcomes all homeschoolers, however we do strive to uphold Christian morals and values.
Salem Home Grown KinderLearners
A local relaxed co-op group for young children ranging from infant to school age. Inspired to help create friendships among moms & kids that would like to grow and educate their little ones at home. Non-homeschoolers are also welcome if interested in homeschooling or educating at home through preschool/kindergarten age. Activities will include field trips, park days, basketball and other sports for young ones along with craft/library days, possibly music days and other studies. Our goal is to educate and have fun while building close relationships with each other. We will each provide our own experience/specialty to help educate the others in the group.
Salem/Keizer Secular Homeschool Group
I am a homeschooling mom hoping to reach out to other homeschoolers who are Secular, Agnostic, or Atheist in the Salem and/or Keizer, Oregon area. I would like to do weekly get togethers for social interaction with the kids, plus I will be posting local activities as I find them from around the area.
Corvallis Community Homeschool Network
Corvallis Community Homeschool Network is a support, information, and activity group for families who are homeschooling in Corvallis and the surrounding areas.We are an inclusive group and members use many different approaches to learning with children. We are non-discriminatory on the basis of race, religion, ethnic background, political or sexual orientation. CCHN was founded specifically to bring homeschooling families together at the Boys Girls Club of Corvallis during school hours and to make that space available for homeschooling play time and activities. (During the summer, we meet weekly at Avery Park.) It is up to all of us to organize gatherings, potlucks, field trips, hands-on activities, clubs, celebrations, etc.
Corvallis Area Christian Home Educators (CACHE)
CACHE is a support and activity community for homeschoolers in the areas surrounding Corvallis, including Albany, Lebanon, Philomath, Sweethome and Tangent. CACHE was founded in order to help create a landing place for new home educators, provide on-line and face-to-face support for parents, strengthen the opportunity for community in our area, and inform families about learning opportunities, field trips, and fun activities. This group is open to anyone who is seeking a homeschooling community and would genuinely like to participate. We just want to let everyone know up front that we are grounded in a faith in Jesus Christ. We are a cooperative support group, meaning that we encourage members to contribute their skills, talents, and gifts so that all may experience support in their homeschooling adventure.
Corvallis Homeschool Teens
A group for Homeschooling, Unschooling, Questioning, or Interested teens in the Corvallis and Benton County area. (though you don't necessarily have to live here to join) Some basic rules: Be friendly, respect others, no spamming, etc. Also, teens only please. Ages 12 to 19 is fine.
The Learning Community of Corvallis (CorvallisTLC)
TLC is a support and activity group for families who are homeschooling in the Corvallis area. We are an inclusive group and use many different approaches to learning with our children. We have weekly park or gym days, a monthly Mom's brunch, family potlucks, field trips, hands-on activities, clubs, celebrations, and online as well as in person support. We have formed for the sole purpose of establishing a community of local homeschooling families. We are a cooperative support group, meaning that all members need to contribute to the group in order to make us grow and thrive.
