Email Lists, Facebook Groups, State and Local Organizations

Email groups and web communities can be a great way to connect with other homeschoolers and share ideas and resources. Here are few Oregon-specific lists and groups. Each group has its own flavor so you may want to try more than one to find a group that meets your needs.

Statewide Inclusive Groups and Resources
ORsig (Oregon Special Interest Group)
ORrsig is an email list where Oregon homeschoolers share their questions, concerns, joys, and passions. As the list has grown, so has the scope of our conversations, and our connections to one another. The strength of our community increases as each ORsig family shares its talents and gifts, supporting one another as we take charge of our children’s education.

Oregon Home
An online community for homeschool families in Oregon and surrounding areas. While focused on home education issues and events, members also discuss general family and parenting-related topics. “Saturday Swap” is for commercial, home-business, or “for sale” posts. Members represent a broad stroke of the religious and political spectrum, and we pride ourselves on an atmosphere of respect. Political, contentious, and emotionally-charged discussions are strongly discouraged.
